Educators Earn Manufacturing Industry Certifications

Through its collaboration with Pine Technical and Community College, Minnesota Manufactured is offering four Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) training sessions to secondary school teachers and college instructors. Of the two sessions held so far, there has been a 100% pass rate for all attendees to earn national industry credentials. Ten instructors earned the MSSC Safety certification, and nine instructors earned the MSSC Quality Practices and Measurement certification.

In addition to earning certifications, secondary school teachers work with college faculty to develop hands-on activities. The activities will be shared with other high school instructors who teach MSSC courses to their students through concurrent enrollment.
