SAVE THE DATE!
Join us at the Moorhead High School Career Academy August 8-9, 2023, for the second annual Minnesota Manufactured Technical Education Conference (2MTEC)
What is the 2MTEC?
2MTEC is a high-impact conference designed for career and technical educators. The conference aims to increase knowledge and preparedness for secondary and post-secondary educators. This event will provide leading-edge industry knowledge and educational best practices for teaching in-demand CTE skills. These skills include machining, mechatronics, tool and die, employability skills, welding, and more.
We have listened to your feedback and will provide additional opportunities for further collaboration, networking, and skill enhancement in manufacturing. The conference offers professional development opportunities to support teaching and learning in your classes. You will have the chance to learn from industry professionals who will assist you in advancing your knowledge of manufacturing-related technologies, machines, and programs. Select your educational focus (i.e., welding, machining, mechatronics, additive manufacturing, quality in manufacturing, etc.) and learn from industry professionals, allowing you to take the information you acquire at this conference and adapt it to your teaching. Conference sessions will include best practices in teaching online, career exploration, connecting with local manufacturing companies, and hands-on skill development.
Who Should Attend?
The primary target audience is Secondary and Post-Secondary educators, but anyone interested in learning more about manufacturing careers and technical education is welcome to attend. You won't find any canned curriculum here. Instead, educators can participate in hands-on activities in the different topic areas. In addition, you can expect several opportunities for networking, collaboration, and skill enhancement.
- Explore best practices in education
- Network with peers
- Encounter new vendors and suppliers
- Tour manufacturers
- Position yourself as an expert
- Have fun
The manufacturing industry is at a critical crossroads with workforce development efforts and the workforce shortage. Therefore, your input and expertise in the manufacturing industry are essential to shaping future employees' education. Manufacturers should consider being a presenter at the conference. We need industry input on topics like:
- Which credentials do students need to be industry-ready
- Emerging trends in the industry
- Partnerships to create opportunities for students
- Access to industry information
- Advanced manufacturing technologies in use today
We invite you to sponsor the 2MTEC conference to provide a great learning opportunity for CTE educators throughout the upper midwest. Your sponsorship dollars will have a lasting impact on educators and the future pipeline of manufacturing for years to come. We have four sponsorship levels that include great benefits such as premium marketing exposure, complimentary registrations, and featured news articles about your organization!
