GPS LifePlan

There are numerous online resources available to assist individuals in career decision-making. GPS LifePlan, a website for career and life planning has now gone mobile! Available on smartphones and tablets, MyGPSLifePlan mobilizes and personalizes planning one’s career and education, as well as finance, leadership, and personal well-being. MyGPSLifePlan engages users to build goals that are “SMART” (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely) and store these goals in MyLifePlan. In MyLifePlan, the student can see their personal statuses in an online password-protected locker.

Online Career Workshops

Another online career exploration and goal-setting resource is the free Online Career Workshop. In this self-paced workshop, you will have the opportunity to participate in online discussions, submit exercises and receive instructor feedback. Register for the Online Career Workshop!

Online Career Counseling

Experiences in any individual’s life may cause a re-evaluation of career and life goals. Interests may be different, locations may have changed, time and opportunities may have taken on new meaning.

At Minnesota Manufactured Support Center, a distance credentialed career counselor is available to work with you in exploring career and educational options, administering and interpreting career assessments, and providing career counseling services at no cost to you. Campus and Community Resources

If you already know which college campus you will be attending, it is often a good idea to visit the campus Career Center or make an appointment with a Career Counselor who can help you through the career decision-making process and assist you with career assessments, informational interviews, resume writing and more.

In the community, counselors with the Minnesota CareerForce have access to several resources for careers, job-seeking, and training. Check with your local Minnesota CareerForce location to see what resources are available to you.
